Crewe Lyceum is thrilled to announce that national treasure Su Pollard will be joining the cast of this year's Christmas panto, Sleeping Beauty. Celebrating 52 years in showbusiness, Su Pollard is one of Britain's best-loved entertainers. With over 40 pantomimes and many other stage credits to her name, including West End hits Annie and Me and My Girl, Su Pollard is a true legend of the stage. She has also appeared in a range of television shows, including You Rang, M'Lord?, Oh, Doctor Beeching!, Benidorm and Celebrity MasterChef. Su Pollard's memoir, Su Pollard: Fully Charged, is set to be released this August. Su Pollard said: 'I've been in 46 pantos as Principal Boy, Good Fairy, Bad Fairy, Wicked Queen and Dame... you name it I've been it! My good friends Cannon and Ball told me they had terrific panto seasons over the years and always loved their times there. It is a beautiful theatre with a terrific auditorium with splendid acoustics and a fabulous ceiling so I'm really excited! My fairy might have a slightly different look but I hope I bring to the audience everything the Good Fairy should.'
